The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23
If you’re anything like us, you have days (many days) when you feel weary, frustrated, exhausted, and depleted. You pour out all you have to your children and get up the next day to do it all over again. There are times you wonder how you’ll make it through. There are times you feel discouraged and alone. And you realize your soul needs some serious refreshing.
It’s in these moments that the Lord wants to meet you. It’s in these places He wants to strengthen you, equip you, and revive your energy. God tells us in His Word He has new mercies for us every morning and He promises to be faithful to us each day. Our desire is to discover God’s faithfulness together and weave God’s Word into our daily lives: when we’re tired beyond what we can bear; when we are struggling to balance work, family, and everything else; when we lose our patience with our children; or when we feel like we’re failing to model the gospel.
Each week we will bring you a devotional in the following format: a beautiful hand-lettered Scripture for you to meditate on, a devotional with a takeaway centered on motherhood, and a question and further verses for reflection. Our goal is for you to interact with Scripture in a way that fits your current stage of life and allows you to keep growing.
Press on, Mama! Every moment you spend in the mundane is an opportunity to grow closer to Christ and display His love to your little ones. Remember your Father in Heaven loves you and is with you each step of the way. The Lord’s mercies are new for us every morning and His faithfulness never ends.
More Moments in the Word:
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. –Matthew 11:28-30
Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. –Hebrews 13:20-21
And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy. –Colossians 1:9-11
